"I’d probably say my favorite book as a kid was Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry." I remember reading Misty of Chincoteague as a child and loving it. I don't know if it was my favorite, but it was definitely up there!

We follow Dave Ramsey's plan! We are finally out of debt, what a wonderful feeling!!!! I have never heard of "Misty of Chincoteague" or "Marley and Me". I will have to look them up at the library. Thanks for the great answers.

Yeah! Glad to hear you made it out of debt. We're still digging. But then again, it took us 15 years to get this way, I don't expect to be out of it all in 6 months!

That looks like a hilarious book. I put it on hold at my library. I guess it is a good thing you own that book rather so you don't have to worry about massive library fines.

I am actually finding more time than I thought I would have post kids when I make is a priority to read. It also helps that I am a super speed reader and can tear through a book in no time flat. I read the last Harry Potter in less than eight hours.

The book is pretty funny. Maybe it strikes a little too close to home for me because we HAD a psycho dog. Certifiable!!

Misty of Chincoteague was one of my absolute favorites growing up too - two of my favorite things were books and horses. I like her other books too, but that one is definitely my favorite too. I'm so jealous that you've actually been there!

My husband is counting down the days (literally) until the last Harry Potter book and he plans on taking a couple of days off just to be able to read it (unpaid days, mind you - that's still under debate). Unfortunately I won't be able to get my hands on it until he's done though, so maybe it's not such a bad idea after all...

It will take us awhile to get through HP. We'll read it as a read-aloud, so mostly during breakfast and lunch. But as it gets REALLY good, the kids will make me read 3 or 4 hours a day!

I'm really looking forward to a new Harry Potter book but at the same time I'm sad that it will be the last.

The Summer reading program sounds like fun. My husband is an avid reader but sadly I only seem to read on vacation.

Yes, it is bittersweet about Harry. I just must know what happens to him....in the end.
