TACKLE IT TUESDAY–NICK’S CLOSET
Posted by Karen on Jul 24 2007

Mike and the kids are spending the entire day at Kings Island today so I’m going to try to tackle a few things.
The biggest job is this:

It’s Nick’s closet and it needs some serious organizing. Some of the outgrown clothes you see are size 2T. Nick is now 10 years old!
Besides this one big job, I also want to tackle these smaller tasks. I will update throughout the day as I finish them. Wish me luck!
Transfer banana oatmeal and harvest pumpkin dip recipes into Recipe ManagerCancel Comfort Inn ressie for San Diego tripCheck Wizard of Oz DVDs to make sure they work (from Nick’s spring show)Disk 1 doesn’t work. Emailed the person who made them to get a replacementFigure out which math levels to order for the kids for this next school year–Nick Math 7, KT Algebra 1- Order those math books wait for now, order closer to start of school b/c of 30 day guarantee
Fill out home school notification formsSchedule oil change for the carSchedule annual exam for the catSchedule septic tank cleaning- Find hotel for Chicago trip next month
I’d better get to work!
Here’s the “after” picture. The top shelf has his rock collection and a bin with clothes that don’t fit him yet. The bottom shelf has some bins with his socks and underwear (his dresser isn’t huge and it’ll free up some space to keep these things in the closet.) The bin on the floor is full of stuffed animals. Some of which I’d pitch today, but I know he’d realize they were gone. I’m hoping he’ll part with some on his own.

A stick of Dynamite should take care of that!

that makes me tired just looking at it! you need some of those shelf divders that keep the stacks from tumbling over…..they work like a charm

Good luck with your tackle!! My youngest son’s closet resembled that. Then I had a garage sale and got rid of most of it (not that anything sold, but Purple Hearts came the next day and took it all away :D) Hope your family had a fun day at Kings Island!

Good luck! Although I think Becca’s closet is probably worse - it’s full of clothes that she’s both outgrown and has yet to grow into… (sigh)

Reading these tackle it Tuesday entries solidify the fact that I’m a slug. I should log off here and go clean MY closet.

Oh…uh…hey there, Nick. Uh..having fun at Kings Island? Don’t worry, your “stuff” is safe. Most of it was clothes that don’t fit you anymore!

I’m not worthy! I bow to your uber-organizational skills. I have about 20 pictures I could take like that at my house (oops. I just said too much). Congrats–it’s gotta feel good.
