SATURDAY PHOTO HUNT–PAPER

Posted by Karen on Sep 21 2007

This week’s theme is “Paper.” I scoured through my photo library and just didn’t have anything that screamed “paper” at me. So I’m going in a slightly different direction…..anti-paper! Here’s a picture of our Christmas tree surrounded by gifts. Not one of them is wrapped in paper. Instead, I bought Christmas fabrics (on sale after the holiday) and used my serger to make reusable gift bags. It caught on in my family and I’ve since made hundreds of bags for my siblings and parents. It makes wrapping gifts sooooooooooo fast and easy!

2006 Christmas 020

I won’t be here next Saturday, but my photo should be set to auto-post, so feel free to swing on by!

Hi. You posted a comment on my blog regarding digital picture frames. The frame in the photo is not a digital frame but I do have one and I LOVE IT! I got it for a Christmas gift and it is awesome. Everyone loves it when they come over.

I have always wanted to do the anti-paper thing at Christmas, but I was worried that I would make all the bags and never get them back. And that they would never be used.. Maybe I will try that this year!

I was noticing the art work to the side of your blog. Is that yours? My art is a little light hearted too.
