I’LL TAKE THIS AS A SIGN
Posted by Karen on Feb 25 2008
Waaaaaay back in my early blogging days, I complained about the signs we have around here warning us to slow down for school zones.
Someone from around these parts must be reading my blog because most of the signs have been updated. Now they look like this:

Now that I know someone is out there who can fix things, can you please make 42 a no passing zone at Spring Valley? Usually intersections are no passing zones anyway, but this particular intersection is on a hill AND a curve, so all the more reason to make it no passing!

Ask and you shall receive! Here in Washington state, as in many other states I’m sure, the speed limits in school zones are taken very seriously. The cops love to camp out in those zones. In our county it seems like there are flashing lights fronting most schools as a reminder to slow down during designated times. I feel like I’m crawling during those times, but I’m a mom and I want all kids to be safe around moving traffic.
