First, before I go announcing any winners in my Skeeda contest, I want to thank ALL of you for participating! I learned so much! I thought I was well on my way to being greener, but I learned several new things to implement! For one, I’m pretty sure we’ll be joining a CSA this summer. I found one that isn’t too far from us that looks amazing. And I want to start composting! Why? I don’t know because I really have no idea what I’ll do with all of the compost. I usually kill any plant I try to grow. And if I join a CSA will I really need to produce 150,000 cherry tomatoes in my backyard? All I know (ok, not all I know) is every time I throw out strawberry tops or the end of a cucumber, I think to myself, “I could compost this.” And I’d love to start using cloth diapers but so far KT, Nick, and Mike are opposed to being diapered. And I’d love to start biking and walking places, but I don’t know how environmentally friendly 2 weeks in the ICU would be seeing as there aren’t sidewalks or safe streets to walk on around here.

So thanks for all of your great suggestions. I know I can’t implement everything overnight, but I will be referring back to the comments and your blogs to digest it all.

Secondly, before I go announcing any winners, please realize this was a hard contest for me to judge. All of the posts were great. All of the comments were great. It very nearly became an eeney-meeny-miney-mo situation. So if you didn’t win, please know it wasn’t because your post wasn’t good.

Fill your Skeeda up with groceries and have some unsuspecting grocery store employee (or a family member) take a picture of you with your Skeeda in action. Don’t do this once you’re home. Do it at the store. Create a scene if you must. Everyone surely will want to know where you got your beautiful bag!

Make sure the employee (or your family member) doesn’t chop your head off in the picture. We want to see how happy you are using your Skeeda!

Email me a copy of your picture (ohiominnie at gmail dot com).

Your picture will end up on the blog and one picture will be chosen (this time totally randomly) and that person will get another Skeeda bag! Maybe you don’t think you need so many bags, but even if you don’t, it would make a lovely gift!
