TACKLE IT TUESDAY–DECLUTTER

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

It’s been awhile since I’ve done an official Tackle it Tuesday. It’s not that I haven’t been tackling anything, it’s just that I haven’t blogged it.

Today, while Mike and the kids are off at Cedar Point, I’m going to tackle the 15 things on my list:

1. Declutter-living room
2. Declutter-school closet–check–see picture
3. Declutter-file cabinet–check
4. Declutter-desk–check
5. Declutter-pantry–check–see picture
6. Declutter-hall closet
7. Declutter-under 1/2 bath sink–check
8. Declutter–under kitchen sink
9. Declutter-cat toys–check
10. Declutter-sunroom bookcase–half done
11. Declutter-bookcases by fireplace
12. Declutter-bedside stand
13. Declutter-linen closet
14. Declutter-under stove drawer
15. Declutter-junk drawer

Are we seeing a trend here?

It’s 1:44 pm here and I thought I’d give you an update. Here’s what I’ve gotten done so far. And yeah, I’m realizing those 15 things will NOT all get accomplished today!
At least the pantry is organized….

And this cabinet….

Well, it used to be here…..

But I got it cleaned out and it’s on its way to the garage. It’s just too heavy for me to get it there alone.

Oh, and the school closet. I know you don’t have “before” shots of these things, but let me just say, this is 1000 times better than it was!

Ok, off the ‘puter and time to get back to work….

End of day here. I knew tackling that list was too much for one day. But I definitely got a good start on decluttering major areas. Plus I did a few things that weren’t on the list, like scrubbed the banisters and polished them. And I took a break and watched The Business of Being Born.

That list makes me tired just reading it! Good luck with all those areas. And when you’re done, you’re more than welcome to come back here and declutter our closet!

I hope the de-cluttering is going well. I need to do a lot of that too. The problem is that I need to get organized, but in order to do that I need to get rid of the clutter, but if I were organized I could get rid of the clutter. Ugh - thinking about that would give me a headache even if I didn’t already have one.

Oh, and I’m with Christy - Cedar Point is not that far from my neck of the woods either! :)

And that is why I go to Cedar Point! So I don’t have to participate in that! Let Mom do that, I am going to go 120 mph instead! Let’s see, clean, or FUN, clean, or FUN? I CHOOSE FUN!!!!

Good job though, the house looks better!
