TACKLE IT TUESDAY–PHOTO INTENSIVE

Tackle it Tuesday? No, more like Tackle it Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Every single day this last week has involved tackles. Lots of them. Small ones, big ones, long overdue ones. So without further adieu, I present my photo journaling of my progress. Most areas do not have before pictures because when I’m on a roll, the last thing I remember to do is grab my camera. And I’m not going to blabber on about each area. Suffice it to say, every single area was stuffed to the gills with clutter before it was tackled.
The hallway linen closet….
The master bath shelving….
The master closet (which was so full, Mike couldn’t keep his clothes in here! But now he can!)
The main bath linen closet. (The wallpaper comes down next week!! Yeah!!)

Everything (every single thing) came out of the closet and was gone through. I’m proud of KT for finally letting go of some things she’s long outgrown….

(Nevermind that white splotch. That was a bulls-eye painted by the previous owner’s kids that I had primed over a long time ago. The whole closet gets painted next week.)

The basement storage room. Suffice it to say, I could not have gotten this picture as a before because there was no where to stand in this room!
And the other direction. Hey! Leftover shelf room!!!
The back patio….de-weeded, furniture set out, pool cleaned up…
I took the canvases down off the play set. They were covered in some scaley, gross moss/lichen/growths of some sort. I scraped and scrubbed and toiled for hours. The one on the right got more scrubbing and elbow grease as you can tell, but the one of the left actually looks much better than it did!
The guest room closet, now free of Mike’s clothes, and organized with my sewing stuff…
Nick’s closet. This was an easy one because it was still pretty neat from when I tackled it here….

And, because there was no way I was going to be able to go to bed last night with my room looking like it did in yesterday’s post, I had to clean that up too….
Believe it or not, there’s more that was done. There are places I just did not get pictures of, but they have been decluttered, cleaned and organized. The drawers in the bathroom, most drawers in the kitchen, etc etc…
Kudos to Mike who worked right along side me in the basement and on the patio. And Kudos to the kids who dropped everything they were doing every time I needed a hand!!!
And today….Mike and the kids are going to Kings Island and I was going to stay home and work more, but instead I’m going. Well, not to Kings Island. I’m going to drop them off and then go somewhere, anywhere, (Ikea) and just veg the whole day. There will be no cleaning, organizing, or other shenanigans for me today. I’m getting away from here! I think I deserve it!

Did you never stop to eat, drink, go potty or sleep???!!! LOL Don’t know how you did it all……know I couldn’t have completed that much in a week! Bet it feels good! And it’s wonderful that your family was so supportive! Yes, you should go today and have FUN someplace……relax and enjoy!

(Only kidding, of course… wanna come do MY house??? It involves a trip to FL!!!!!)
Actually, we are getting new kitchen cabinets in the VERY near future… so I’ll be forced to do something about the ever-expanding mess… but we’re putting taller cabinets in… so that means TONS more space (none of which I can reach without a ladder, but it WILL keep me from shoving EVERYTHING up there!!!)

WOW!! You deserve to veg!! I am going to ask again when you could come here. I am packing to move and could use your skills!! I am hoping that with moving I can get rid of a lot and have cabinets and closets that look like that. I want to be like you when I grow up.
