KIDS? WHAT KIDS? I HAVE KIDS?

If you’re staying up to date with BaggaChips, you probably read about KT’s experience at this weekend’s Parade of Homes. After touring 7 houses, we both agree on the house we’d buy. That is, if we had an extra $700,000 laying around! At that price, it’s a good thing we both love the same house!

She showed you the bathroom Owner’s Salon in the master suite, now let me show you two other parts of the master suite. This is called the “Owner’s Retreat.” Apparently it’s where you can hole yourself up and totally forget you have responsibilities and kids. It’s got a TV, a sink, a fridge, and a wine cooler. Really, what else would I need? I just love the high windows there. Let’s in lots of light without needing window treatments for privacy. Of course, this is deceptive because it was actually a sunny day when we went. I wonder what it’d look like with thick grey clouds. Ah, who cares? I’d have my wine!

And this is the “Owner’s Balcony.” Yup, just exit the sliding door from the Owner’s Retreat and this is what you find. A second floor balcony!

Ok, so now I have my wine and fresh air. Life is good. Well, it would be if I had $700,000 burning a hole in my pocket and if this house wasn’t located in an Eastern Columbus subdivision!

Ah well, it’s fun to go to the Parade of Homes and see how the other half lives.

Oh, hey, I just remembered! I have a contest that finished up last night! Well, I’ll be!! Stay tuned later to see who won!!!

As lovely as a personal retreat would be, it would end up being a family retreat. Everyone wants to be where mom is. That’s why I have to lock AND block the bathroom door. LOL!

With the owner’s retreat, I would be tripping over that “little” edge there to get to the wine refrigerator and back to my chair..we can only imagine at this point..let me check my lottery numbers, I may be a “weiner” and don’t know it…yeah right!
A lot of light in there…glare big time on you Wii golf game/tennis/bowling..

I love it!!!!…..a nation of people getting more obese by the minute and now you don’t even have to walk as far as the kitchen to get your drinks or snacks, you’ve got them right handy in the same room!!! Need the fridge and wine cooler in the “salon” so you can snack and imbibe while you soak in the tub and watch TV!! Draw my bath will you please! Hahahahaha. Do you think they will invent gadgets with flexible arms that work automatically to wash you, too??? Of course if you soak long enough, and get deep enough, you may only have to wash your face and hair!

If you make it through the years of raising your kids, then your WHOLE HOUSE becomes your retreat!

Uggghhhh.. Parade of homes. From what I remember, they used to be more reasonable homes with great ideas that regular people could use - now they are just huge houses with very little that I can adapt for my own home. Lovely to look at though - I guess a girl can dream?

Wow! Here I thought I had to go to a fancy hotel for something like that. . . . let me go grab the checkbook and we’ll be set. . . . right!!

Pretty fancy alright, but a little to rich for my blood. I could really use that salon though, the rest of the house doesn’t matter when you have a tub like that.

Hmm, add a computer for some unlimited blogging time and that’s the perfect room! Not to mention the balcony… I think you’d have a lot of visitors if you lived there! :)

That is fabulous! You could rent that out as an apartment for a little extra money on the side. You know, to help pay the obscene mortgage that undoubtedly comes with a $700k home!
