BULLET POST
Posted by Karen on Jul 08 2008
Crazy times over here. Not much time to sit down and let the creative juices flow. So I thought I’d just jot down a few quick things to keep you all in the loop.
In no particular order…..
- Mama and Papa barnswallow have chosen our pillar to build their nest and raise their young.

- But seriously, 5 baby birds in that tiny nest was getting to be a little much. I kept telling them to fly away, and finally they did. Well, 4 of them did. Number 5 is lazy and he’s still letting mom and dad bring him food. Here are two that flew the coop.

- The kids have been with my parents since last Thursday. Right now they are in Canada camping, seeing Niagara Falls and biking. I hope they are having a great time!
- Today is KT’s 14th birthday! Wow. 14!
- I bought her something today. Next year’s curriculum! I hope she loves it! She’s taking Algebra I, US History, Biology, Literature and Composition, Spanish, Phys Ed, and Health. High school. Yikes!
- Mike and I were very busy last weekend cleaning, decluttering, and organizing. The house is lookin’ good!
- Remember my Mickey bathroom? I found a picture of the wallpaper before it became a Mickey bathroom. Ugly, eh?

- By the way, house #2 is mine. No hard feelings. I know tastes vary.
- I saw this on our way up to Cedar Point a week ago. Had to snap a picture because I thought the juxtaposition of the two shops was ironic. In case it’s too small to read the signs, on the left is a tattoo parlor. On the right is a pain clinic. I wonder if that was planned.

- Mike and I are flying to Florida tomorrow. It’s a quick trip so I’ll be back on Friday evening. And no, I haven’t been organized enough to auto-post anything.
- Speaking of poor planning. I will have my parents, my sister, two nieces, two great-nephews, and a great-niece at my house Saturday and Sunday. And I have milk and yogurt in the fridge. Hope they are light eaters. Of course, if my brother and sister-in-law make it down too, then I’m in real trouble.
- Yes, this weekend is my first ever “Free Garage Sale.” If you want it, you take it. If you don’t want it, take it anyway! Anyone want to place bets on the number of people who drive by, slam on their brakes, and come up my driveway to look around in the garage?
- Ok, that’s it for now. I’m going to go
take a napwork on the house some more. I’ll be back as soon as I can get back.

Have a good trip to FL.
Sounds like the kids are having a blast!!
Happy Birthday KT!
Speaking of curriculum, I need to buy that too. . . one more thing to go on the do list.
I am interested in finding out how the Free Garage Sale goes.
Enjoy that nap.

Ahem. Half of my block could fit on your lot. I envy your grass.

Ooh…curriculum for a birthday present? Hmmm…I think J might be a bit put out with me if I got that for his 4th bday this Sunday.
Yes. Hideous wallpaper. How on earth did you get it straight?
Free garage sale? For me, that’s called “call Sister Carmen’s and have them come out with their truck.”
Have a safe trip!

Poor Karen, no one liked your house. Have a fun and productive trip. Oh and go to the store for Pete’s (or your guest’s)sake and get you some food.

That pain clinic next to the tattoo parlor is so funny.
Happy Birthday, KT. High school … wow!
As for that fifth baby bird … there’s one in every family!
Is there something I can bring you this weekend? Just let me know.

Happy Birthday to KT! And I hope you’re having a good time in FL. I missed out on your house quiz by not being caught up enough - but I do love your house. It’s got brick (which is a must for me), is 2-story, and has trees but they don’t block the view.

A Free garage sale? I’d stop. Not sure if I would take anything but I would be interested. I don’t garage sale though so something interesting like that would have to catch my attention.
Let us know how it goes.

So how’d the garage sale go? I didn’t realize it was open to the public - I thought it was family. Heck I could have been there. Oh wait.. I couldn’t, I was having my own garage sale! Hopefully you bought some food though.
