THE ALMOST END RESULT

When you give things away, people come out of the woodwork to snag them up. Seriously, if you ever want to quickly get rid of things, give them away. I also found out feeding the people who come to take your stuff keeps their energy levels up and they can scavenge for longer periods. (grin)
My parents came back down with their Suburban and trailer to pick up the last of their stuff, my brother’s stuff, my sister’s stuff, and my niece’s stuff. And some other stuff that I threw into the pile just because I needed to get rid of it quickly. Did I say that out loud?
So here is the Suburban with its load. That big TV fit in the empty spot and we were able to squeeze in a slightly smaller TV too!
And the trailer. Stuffed to the gills.
The result? A van in the garage!!!
Ta-da…..
Oops, sorry, that was the before picture (actually, it was before I got all of the cra….treasures in there!)
Oh, yes, here is the correct picture!
For some clarification……
Pile A is the pile of bins and storage containers I reclaimed by giving away what was inside of them.
Pile B is the pile of things ready to pack up as soon as we get some moving boxes.
Pile C is a pile of things that need to go to Play It Again Sports–kid’s ice skates, roller skates, ski helmets.
Pile D is a pile of things that either need donated or freecycled.
We’re definitely getting there.

Too bad we don’t live closer. In about two weeks I will have TONS of boxes that will need to be recycled!! Great job, the garage looks wonderful with that van in it.

I’m just starting this. I have to wait for the boys to go back to school or it’s “OH MY GOD, MOM, YOU CAN’T GET RID OF THISITSMYVERYFAVORITETHINGINTHEWHOLEWIDEWORLD!!!!!” I’m just not up for that.

Lookin’ good!! How great that the van can get in the garage now. I am still sorting through stuff and getting rid of things here and there. . . I am beginning to think it will just be something I do once a month . . . . FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!
Moving boxes. . . gives me nightmares just thinking about them.

YAY! Looks wonderful. Glad we could be of some service. Now, if you’d like to see where all those treasures went I can get you a picture as soon as I can get through the piles! Just kidding! Watching Cody enjoy his “new” toys makes the trip worth it! But, too bad you weren’t here to feed us when we had to put everything away! Now THAT needed energy!!

WOW!!! Not too much stuff left…well, actually, A LOT OF STUFF LEFT..left the house!!!
Just ask me..go ahead…NO..I haven’t even decluttered the stuff I came home with. I have been saving boxes here at work and other people keep needing them so…I guess I will have to put off putting away…
Until say…December…and I did end up with stuff I didn’t “order” but figured it was the price I had to pay…just kidding!

doesnt it feel liberating? i know its crazy but i love the all or nothing sort of decluttering that comes with moving. i love to get rid of stuff and start fresh
