Well, the weekend came and went. And I survived. I had 10 relatives here fighting over my crap treasures. This was the weekend of my free garage sale. I have to clear something up….this was not a garage sale open to the public. No, instead it was by invite only. And my family members were the only ones to get invites. My original plan was to have them pick through my stuff, and then invite my neighbors to pick through what was left. But honestly….there isn’t much left.
Of course, being the good blogger I am, I photo-documented the day.
Here is my brother checking out a CD rack.
And three people examining the FlipFolds. Unfortunately I only had two.

Thank goodness this wasn’t open to the public because unsuspecting people would have seen my dad trying to hog all of the personal hygiene items. See how tight his grip is on those pantyliners?

Some found the perfect items…..like the hat Corbin found….

And the princess tiara for Evie….

And the kitty for Cody….

Unfortunately the kitty wasn’t for “sale.” So Cody had to find his second favorite item…

In the end the scavengers my family filled up their vehicles. Like the back of this suburban…

(and no, I wasn’t giving away Vodka. That was just the box!)
And the back of this pick-up truck….

And the inside of the pick-up truck….

And the trunk and back seat of this car….

And the trunk of this car….(car seats were hogging the back seat)

And the back of an SUV (not pictured).
My garage looked like this near the end of the scavenging….

It wasn’t too long ago when it looked like this….

And that wasn’t even the worst of it. Actually, it was MORE full when my family descended upon it. So full we had to put some of the stuff in our family room in order to make aisles! As if that wasn’t enough, as people cleared out areas, Mike and I pulled more items out of the house and took them into the garage. So many, in fact, there is a U-Haul rental and another SUV trip planned to pick up the rest! The funniest thing is I was receiving calls after they left that went something like this, “Hi, it’s me. We made it home. Remember that (fill in the blank) you have in your garage? Can you save it for me?”
Fire up that U-Haul!
Quickly before “buyers” remorse kicks in!!
