I was so surprised to hear about the waiting room times that you indicated are normal! I have a 10 month old daughter and we are typically called into the room right on time by my daughter’s nurse and wait for 5 minutes or less, whether it’s a well visit or sick visit. The sick visits might take a couple of minutes longer, but not much. I usually have time to read through a book with her before the doctor comes in, and that’s it.

I don’t feel like I am rushed, even though I’m sure the doctors have a lot of patients. My daughter’s pediatrician has always had time for all of my questions and concerns and it feels to me like she’s spending an appropriate amount of time with her.

She does work for a group practice, which you discussed a bit, so I guess this is why. This just makes me want to stick with them even more!

No offense to those doctors who routinely make patients wait 45-60 minutes. I’m sure you’re all good doctors, but my time is important too.

(By the way…love the show!!!) :-)
